The article is devoted to analysis of major subsystems of the media industry of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the processes of modernization of its structures, as well as organizational and technological changes in the conditions of glocalization. Glocalization is an intersection of global and local in social, economic and cultural life while preserving national features that is very typical for Yakutia, the largest Russian region with multiethnic population, represented by Sakha, Russians, indigenous peoples of the North. The media landscape is represented by state-owned or controlled and private media. The private ones have wider audience and influence. The very specific feature of Yakutia – existence of media in Sakha language and languages of indigenous peoples. Therefore these media have important function of preserving cultural and linguistic heritage. After analysis of strategies of republican media structures, we assume that in the stagnation of the printing market, the transition of television to digital broadcasting, the emergence of new perspectives on the media platforms, local media try to survive rather than invest in their development. This is typical both for state and private media of Yakutia. At the same time, media companies increasingly try to maintain the current business model instead of movement towards diversification and applying new media models
